Started as a live painting in Seattle for an Alex Grey event called “Cosmic Mirror”

Monarch butterfly and some tiny fireflies are all represented here in this portrait to the animals that inhabit the forest and who are affected by forest fires that have been on the rise recently on the West Coast of the United States

It looks good both horizontally and vertically

I was mesmerized and when I went back to the studio I immediately made the decision to paint over the tree
