however usually by Memorial Day Weekend it is open again connecting Estes Park with Grand Lake

At first it appeared the clouds may be a little better north of my location but just after that thought this occurred making it a great sunset over the Mile High City of Denver

I headed to the foothills to photograph

including the City and County of Denver

With camera in hand I headed over to the Governors Mansion to photograph the holiday lights with some fresh snow falling

I have photographed during this month many times and always find great color in the sky. This year was no different as I silhouetted the downtown skyline to capture the color of the sky and the lines of downtown. These lines continue to change as Denver the growth of the city remains.
