Vintage Japanese Textural Chawan, Tea Bowl - Earthy Ash Glaze Yukata Size 8 - 12A vintage Japanese sculptural tea bowl crafted from coarse, mineral rich clay. During the intense heat of wood firing, feldspar granules expanded and burst through the clay walls, creating a dense ishihaze (stone explosion) texture across both the exterior and interior surfaces, guiding the eye down to a thick pool of natural wood ash glaze (biidoro) at the bottom.
