From the back of the ferry I watched as the sky changed color first across San Francisco and then across the peninsula as the ferry headed south. This was a nice surprise after a day exploring the City and Angel Island.

As I neared Smith Lake in the park I noticed a lone leaf in the water

the current location was not built until 1924 as noted at the top of the facade

Rainbow Curve on Trail Ridge Road and Rocky Mountain National Park

The mix of the colors grabbed my attention for some time as the weathering is uneven and allows for interesting shapes to be found

The full moon was out on this day and it was the closest the moon has been in 70 years
