This settee would have been made about 15 years previous to the opening of the station and its suitably relatively narrow proportions would have seen it sat in the waiting or ticketing area

but also of flamboyant art and craftsmanship

There is some wear to the white bandings to the porcelain

these blocks illustrate a very specific subject matter and would make a wonderfully imaginative mantelpiece folly

This particular example is well painted especially considering the object they are painted upon
